A few weeks back I railed on about some songs I heard 11 years ago by a guy I met in college, how I thought I might never hear them again, and how I sent off an email to him. Well, he emailed back. All but one of the songs I remember have been recorded. This is one. This is by Nick Jaina. It’s “Dirty Heart,” and it feels good for me to listen to it. I’ve had this happily rattling around my skull for 11 years. Should you like it get it (and the album) here, along with one of the other songs that’s been happily keeping me company “Bottles on the Tracks.” Please do get it if you like it. Nick remains a sweet, sweet, man—one whom I now owe another email.
Just so it’s clear: I am so, so happy to have found these songs and Nick again. Not that I’ve recently delighted in purchasing a substantial amount of his music or anything. Nope.
