whenitpours: One weird thing about being pregnant is that suddenly complete strangers feel they have the right to come up and ask you intensely personal questions, sometimes even touch you. When strangers would ask what we were expecting or if we were hoping for one sex over another, I liked to tell them, “Actually, I really hope it’s a puppy.” Only my dad and brother thought that was funny.
