I’m out of town so the comics for the next few days will be done on my iPad.
You guys. X-MEN #1 by Brian Wood, Olivier Coipel & Laura Martin featuring Storm, Rogue, Rachel Grey, Kitty Pryde, Jubilee & Psylocke. April 2013. SO EXCITED.
For the third consecutive year I designed the poster for the National Cartoonist Society Foundation’s Jay Kennedy Scholarship for Cartooning.
The deadline is fast approaching — applications must be postmarked by December 15th, 2012. Any North American student who will be in their junior or senior year of college or university during the 2013-2014 academic year is eligible. You do not have to be an art major. More information at www.cartoonistfoundation.org
This is a great opportunity for any student who draws comics, does animation, or dabbles in any sort of cartooning. Only a few days left to get your application in the mail!
I’m reblogging because I know lots of students (they don’t have to be art students to win this) who need some funds and qualify. YOU HAVE TALENT Y’ALL. You know who you are.
It’s Good Mustache Thursday. I’ll handle the mustaches, you handle something else, and we might just get the hang of Thursday!
This. Down below. Get all up on that, y’all. If you listen to our This Week in Marvel podcast, you know how much praise we heap upon Jordie and the other amazing color artists working for Marvel. Learn from the best!
TEMPORARY COLOR ASSISTANT/FLATTER NEEDED. TO START IMMEDIATELY.
Can be based anywhere as long as availability, communication and schedule are kept.
This is a paid position that will help you learn the business and the professional production of comics. It will mainly focus on coloring and preparing files for print. This would be helpful for anyone who wants to professionally produce a colored comic. I will also be available for anything you’d be interested in comics wise, whether or not it is critiques, private one on one tutorials or even asking artist/inker Declan Shalvey (Venom, Thunderbolts, 28 Days Later) some questions here and there.
Availability is important, internet connection is a must, photoshop skills are required. If interested please e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I wonder if I was the only one who wanted the movie to end this way
If someone wants to send some Loki cupcakes to me at Marvel HQ, I wouldn’t complain. I’d probably make someone on my team try them first, though…
Loki cupcakes from my Avengers cupcake series!
I have been taunting y’all with this cupcake for weeks. But it was totally worth the wait, no?
*Fun Fact: Loki’s helmet is made from 24 separate fondant pieces, and took over 3 days to put together. It’s pretty screen accurate- besides it being edible! His horns are actually carved pieces of fondant that started as solid rectangles.
[More of the Avengers cupcake series will be coming soon! When they are all done they will be available for purchase as high-res prints. Woo for shameless selling of cupcake art!]
holy shit on a bloody stick
As if Loki wasn’t yummy enough as it is…
