The Honey Pot

On the road to visit Jules, Cody & Treva!
The Claire is bundled up in the back amidst pillows and blankets. I’m riding shotgun and Vasant, as you can see, is captain of this particular vessel.
I have great news: I am done with the most laborious part of my video project. I finished at 4 a.m. yesterday and submitted it to my producer last night (it took ALL DAY to render).
I’ll still have more work to do once I get his notes, but the hardest, most emotional phase of this is behind me. Oh, and I used Claire’s song “My Lonely Angel” which, even though it’s TROCK, works amazing with this story.
After not sleeping for two days to finally finish, I went to Hugo House last night for a literary event. I didn’t get home until 11:30. Vasant made pancakes and we crawled into bed and slept for the first time since Tuesday night.
So admittedly, we are running late today (though the way Vasant drives, I’m confident in making up the time). We slept though, and I’m feeling the good effects of it. Jules and Treva will have bouncy, hyper Samudres + Salcedo on their hands.

I’m just so excited about so many of my favorite Ughbutts gathering (and grazing?) in one place! I’m with you in ughbutt spirit! Have a wonderful time and a safe drive-
that’s a jennhoney mandate <3

I aquabuttman’d your man.

The poignant lyrics to Paul Simon’s song “America” began curiously sprouting up on decrepit landmarks throughout Saginaw about three months ago.“Michigan seems like a dream to me now. It took me four days to hitchhike from Saginaw. I’ve gone to look for America,” Simon wrote in the 1968-released tune.A Saginaw artist has taken those wanderlust-filled lyrics and painted them as graffiti at various locations in Saginaw, including a soccer goal post at Wickes Park, railroad tracks, abandoned buildings and bridge supports.

Things that I love: Paul Simon!<3 And Michigan.

theasil said: Uh, no, I haven’t been! I don’t venture into Wisconsin unless I really have to - my strange superpower is that I feel nauseous when in WI so I can always tell if I’m in that state or not (helpful when driving to chicago and getting lost).

that is an impressive superpower!

hahaha poor Wisconsin, but any state that has a wedge of cheese as it’s main identifier is ok in my book!

I love roadside attraction/destinations, so my opinion is skewed but, The House on the Rock exists and it’s really satisfying in a mind boggling fascinating WEIRD way. I also hear that Wisconsin has something called Cheese Castle. I’m currently planning my quest to save the cheese prince from the cheese dragon!

I think this counts as a book club discussion, and that’s just one of the many reasons why I’m not very good at book clubs…or discussions.

[I was posting this reply when the tumblrpocalypse happened. I waited to see if it would reappear but, poor broken tumblr just kept telling me I had an unsaved post and then showing me the wrong post. Luckily, I have cheese and dragon eidetic memory. It’s very rare much like Parseltongue.]
